Background
Keith is a retired Navy Commander who grew up on a goat farm in Alger, Washington, graduating from Burlington-Edison High School.
He attended Washington State University until appointed to the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland. Keith is married to the former Wen Lee of Taipei, Taiwan and they have three adult children.
Keith has served the 39th legislative district in the state senate since his appointment in January 2018 after serving two years as mayor of Sedro-Woolley. He is the Senate Republican Whip and serves on the Senate’s Ways and Means and the Law and Justice committees. He is also the ranking Republican on the Behavioral Health subcommittee.
